Tips to help anxiety:
1. Celebrate every little win. Reward yourself when you conquer your anxiety to call up to order pizza. Or when you go to that party where you hardly know anyone. Reward yourself for every little accomplishment.
2. Make a time for anxiety. When it’s 3am and you can’t sleep because you’re worrying about something you said to someone a week ago. Tell yourself not to worry about it now. Make a time to worry about it, schedule it out. Say, every Tuesday from 3pm-4pm you are allowed to worry. But after that time’s up, you’re not allowed to anymore.
3. Even if your friend’s don’t understand why you’re on the verge of a panic attack over going to the doctor’s, they do care, they will listen.
4. On those days when you just can’t leave your bed and everything that used to be fun seems like a chore, make sure you accomplish something. Whether it be writing 100 words on an essay, making your bed or washing the dishes. Accomplishing something for the day will make you feel better.
5. Think in the now. Stop worrying about not passing the test. Stop thinking about how you stuttered in front of the guy you like. DO think about what is happening now. Think about how you are safe now, think about how you have people who love you now. Live in the present.
